In 2009, the world was deep into a recession and I was a designer at Edinburgh based design agency Redpath. Our MD briefed me to come up with ideas for our annual Christmas card that would be posted out to clients and friends.
Given the economic climate at the time, it just didn't seem right to do anything big and expensive.
